General Information about Allergy & Food Intolerance

This Allergy Screening Test is one of several Allergy tests available

· Test is designed for the measurement of IgE antibodies

· A range of foods and inhalants in the patient’s blood are tested

· A small pin drop sample of blood is required

· Blood sample can be taken at one of our clinic

IgE antibodies give rise to classical allergy symptoms such as hay fever, asthma, eczema, hives and dermatitis.

The test requires only a small blood sample to measure the severity of a patient’s allergic reaction to up to 36 different allergens as shown in the table below.

This Allergy Screening test system uses one of the most sensitive detection systems available which allows for the detection of very low levels of IgE in the patient’s blood.
