“Having lost my
daughter to Reye’s
Syndrome as a result of a massive allergic
reaction to Aspirin, I became determined to ensure that other parents
would not suffer the same evil. In the early 1980s (together with Clifford
Harrington other parents who too had lost their children to this condition)
we established the National
Reyes Syndrome Foundation of the UK.
I believe that our
efforts and the research funded by the foundation resulted in the withdrawal
of children’s Aspirin from the ‘over the counter market’. Today all Aspirin
bottles contain a warning against its use for children (unless under a
doctors supervision). In the early 80’s about 120 cases a year were being
reported with over 100 dying.
Following the removal of children’s Aspirin the number of deaths
quickly fell away. In the year 2000
only three cases were reported. I believe that
thousands of children’s lives have been saved as a result of this
activity. I am passionate
about helping my clients achieving optimum health through natural means. Allergies & intolerances especially
among children is a constant concern of mine. I see many clients with
allergy, eczema, asthma, hay fever, food intolerance, irritable bowel,
digestive disorders and other allergic reactions. My clinics provide allergy,
food intolerance and other health related tests, advice and consultations. I
believe that Nutritional, Herbal and Homeopathic Medicine integrate well with
conventional medical therapy and can be beneficial for many conditions. o
